Professor Peter Boyd's engagement to the Dean's daughter is upset by the revelation that his father was a habitual convict. To prove the Dean's genetic theory of inherited traits as wrong, Boyd starts a 'secret' experiment. He borrows the science department's chimpanzee with the goal of showing that it is one's environment that affects your reaction to right and wrong.

Film noir and hard-boiled love story shot in black & white and on video, with wonderful camerawork, montage and casting about the hard female cop Miki who makes a minor error and then has to clean up the tracks. With a cameo role by director Tsukamoto Shinya. Nagasaki could easily have taken the Miike route in the 1990s, churning out four or five direct-to-video features a year and trying to give them some 'edge', but he chose instead to look for ways to move his own agenda forward. This `hard-boiled love story' (co-written by Nakajima Goro, his collaborator on The Enchantment) was his first digitally-shot feature, and it's a flawless combination of motifs from vintage film noir with the theme first explored in The Drive: a tough woman dragging a weaker man deeper and deeper into crime. Woman cop Miki is chasing a wanted man when she stumbles on a crashed car and sees the driver, Koichi, ignite spilled petrol to kill himself and his passenger. She drags Koichi to safety, but the passenger dies. Miki says nothing to challenge the inquest finding of `accidental death', and when she visits Koichi in hospital he begins to understand that her complicity in his crime implies a sexual invitation. But a gumshoe (played by novelist Hosaka Kazushi) has photos of the crash, and the only way to stall his blackmail is to kill him, the first of several murders... Did I mention that it's shot in lustrous black-and-white? (Tony Rains)

在印度的塞莱拉(🍲)萨(🎿)希贫民窟(kū )，一个(🌤)五岁(❓)的(😠)男孩布(bù )迪亚.辛格被母亲苏卡(💪)迪以850卢比卖给了(le )一个首饰贩子，酗酒的首饰贩(🗼)子不给布迪亚饭(🖐)吃，并打骂布迪亚，可(kě )怜的布迪亚反抗反遭蹂躏，幸亏柔道学校(🏞)的布朗奇达斯教练及时赶到，并赎回了布迪亚。此后，布朗奇教练收留了布迪亚，但有一次(cì )，因为布迪亚在柔道学校说了脏话，被布朗(lǎng )奇(🐇)罚跑，也(yě )就在这(🤢)一次罚跑(🐔)当中，布朗奇意外发现了布迪亚的运动天赋……

就在众人以为她会放弃的时候，她又一次坚持着站起了起来，并且(🖇)(qiě )以乌龟一样(yàng )的速度，动作蹒跚的往终点线挪。
